General FAQs

To access behaviour and nutrition consultations for your pet, log in to your account and go to the ‘Services' page. There, you’ll see an information card for Companion Animal Wellness.

Click on the tab and head to the 'Book Appointment' button.

Once you click the button, you will be directed to a calendar where you can select the type of consultation you are looking for and a date and time that suits you. You will then be sent a calendar invite with a link to the video call.

We don’t provide any quotes over the phone. To get a quote all you need to do is head to our homepage and hit the ‘Instant Quote’ button.

After you’ve entered the necessary information about your pet, you will then be able to choose your Annual Limit and Excess (Claim Contribution), which allows you to find the perfect policy to suit your coverage and budget needs.

It’s as simple as starting a new policy with Waggel. It is then up to you when you want to cancel your other policy.

Please be aware of pre-existing conditions that you might have incurred from your previous policy, as we won’t be able to cover those.

We also have a 14-day warm-up period, so you will only be able to make a valid claim after 14 days from your policy start date.

Gift cards are emailed after your referred friend pays their first invoice and holds their policy for at least 30 days. To ensure it hasn’t been missed, please search your email inbox and junk mail folders for the subject “Waggel Pet Insurance sent you an Amazon Gift Card”. If it's still missing, please contact our Customer Support team - you’ll just need to provide the details of your policy and who you have referred.

Before you cancel your policy, you might still be able to make a claim for any medical bills that led up to the passing of your pet, as well as a portion of the purchase price you paid when adopting your pet.

To make a claim, log in to your Waggel account. On the Home tab, click the 'Make a Claim' button on the pet that has passed away. You will be prompted to select a type of claim and you can select 'My pet has passed away'.

You will then have option to make a claim for medical bills, a portion of the purchase price or to just cancel your policy.

If you don’t want to make a claim, you can let us know that your pet has passed via our online chat and we will cancel your policy for you.

To access free vet video calls, you’ll need to download and sign up to the Joii app.

Once you’ve got the app, you’ll need to hit the ‘Join Us’ button to create an account. You can then sign in and head to ‘My Pets’ and ‘Add Animal’ where you can add your pet and select Waggel as your insurer.

After setting up, you’ll have access to free video consultations, 24/7.

You can also log in to your account on our website and head to the ‘Services’ page to find out more.

You can see Waggel’s full guide on how to sign up to Joii here.

We don't provide multi-pet discounts.

You always have the option to put money aside to cover any future vet bills.

However, by doing so, you run the risk of having not saved enough by the time your pet needs treatment. In addition to this, you might deplete the funds you have saved for any conditions that require ongoing treatment.

With a Lifetime policy, the only type of policy Waggel offers, you will be able to claim up to your chosen Annual Limit year-after-year.
